Sustainability Goals
The Sustainable development goals are a new way for the United Nations to plan for the future of our planet. Each goal has targets that have been set to try and help make a positive change in how we live our lives. In 2015 the United Nations set 17 sustainable development goals to be achieved by governments and organisations by 2030. Sustainable development has become a key focus for companies, particularly those who are committed to social and environmental responsibility.
Airway Medical are committed to how we can contribute to the Sustainable Development Goals with the use of technology, information and knowledge sharing.
We align ourselves strongly with the 3rd goal set by the UN, to ‘Ensure healthy lives and promote well-being for all at all ages’ and know that the use of our new technology can improve the quality to living for those suffering with long term health conditions, and provide emergency care for those who need it.
The 12th sustainable development goal covers how companies can responsibly consume and produce materials to ensure prosperity and well-being for all on a healthy planet.
Airway Medical are supporting this goal by using materials very carefully, and as environmentally as possible in every aspect including before, during and after the products life cycle. We do this by using biopolymers in our products, which are highly sustainable and natural, as well as being recyclable.
We use the Sustainable Development Goals to make sure that all aspects of our business combine our passion for saving lives with our passion for helping the environment.
