Suction Easy with a very early CAMSU prototype
Suffocation is the second most common reason for uneccesary death on the battlefield, after catastophic bleeding. Combat Medics therefore require fast, reliable and effective airway suction .
The incumbent device (Suction Easy) is unsuitable for the purpose intended and has a number of functional issues that may render it useless in extreme heat or humidity for example.
We have developed a novel, robust and effective prototype (TRL 3) in conjunction with Veteran Combat Medics.
It is the same size and weight of the incumbent, but is effective to the highest ISO 10079 international standard for airway suction.
It is made from high strength, renewably sourced materials and has built in ‘redundancy’ to allow fitment to other items in the combat medic’s kit.
We are currently looking for partners to fund and develop the device for use in Ukraine. We are particularly keen to collaborate with Ukranian Companies. The intended outcome is to provide 10,000 Combat Ready CAMSU units Free of Charge to the Ukraine Armed Forces.
